Habits: The Good And The Bad

Artist & Song

Louis Tomlinson “Habit”

If you haven’t already checked out Louis’ debut solo album, you’re missing out. A great album, but this is this blogger’s favorite. The chorus is super catchy without that feeling of being pounded into your head. It’s a light tune that’s perfect for a relaxing day.

The Maine “My Best Habit”

From the “You Are OK” era, The Maine have created an addictive song that has many different themes in the melodies. A perfect track to add to your upbeat, good day playlists.

Tove Lo, Hippie Sabotage “Habits (Stay High)

Kinda want to punch the speaker for 30 solid seconds. This is a remix, which are usually only good for raves, and this is no different. I mean, look at the title. Says it all. Pass.

SEVENTEEN “Habit”

If you don’t mind not understanding a single word, this is a good melody. Very relaxed with a backbeat that’ll still keep you moving. If you speak Chinese, please translate!

Keith Urban “Habit of You”

Apparently, the word “habit” is generally a calming word. This is another good, laid back tune. Don’t like country? Don’t worry. This isn’t in-your-face twangy. It could actually almost pass as pop.

Linkin Park “Breaking the Habit”

As with The Maine, this is more of a fast-paced hit. However, not as fluffy-bunny as the others. But that’s why we love Linkin Park, right? Not a fan of LP? You may have only heard one or two of their songs. Check out more. You may find something you like!

The Kooks “Bad Habit”

This track is most definitely going to find its way into your head and playlists. It’s perfect for your dance party, workout, run, and house cleaning.

Ben Platt “Bad Habit”

Not gonna lie, this has potential to be a really goon song... if it were sung by someone else. It sounds like Ben is trying too hard to create vibrato. Pass.

Still Woozy “Habit” (E)

Another hit good for a quiet, relaxing day. Or if you’re the “dance like nobody’s watching” type, crank this and groove with your bad self. Lyrics are a bit difficult to understand, but still fun to listen to.

Justin Bieber “Habitual”

First and foremost: Yes, it’s the Biebs. He’s a love-him-or-hate-him artist. I’m not taking sides, I’m just giving you the option to listen to a pretty good song. Billboard hit? No. But not bad. At the very least, it’s got a wicked backbeat.
